Inspiration Avenue Challenge-Tuesday's Child

The topic this week was to make an image about the day of the week you were born.  I was born on a Tuesday and so I illustrated "Tuesday's Child is Full of Grace."  I never really felt graceful.  I can't dance and I'm sort of uncoordinated.  I chose this picture because it called to me and asked me to show that the meaning of the word Grace  is multifaceted.  While some of us don't move our bodies in an especially graceful manner, we can bring grace into other areas of our lives.  Sometimes we simply grace others with our presence.  So close to Mother's Day, I remembered the love my mom had for me, a child "full of grace," at least in her mother's heart.

  2. You are full of grace to have chosen this photo for your day of the week. I really like how you interspersed the black and white images with the vintage-y and colorful hearts. The lady in the bottom left looks like she has just written that message to a very sweet daughter. Nicely done challenge entry.

  5. Very graceful....I think the moms back in the day wanted their girls to be graceful didn't they? Oh well I think it is better to find grace in other ways too,

  9. such a sweet image! i'm a tuesday child, too, though i didn't have such a positive upbringing... yet i've come to see, as you so rightly say, grace is multifaceted :)

  10. This is so pretty! I love the flowery hearts adding color to the vintage sepia. As you say, there are other definitions of "grace", not all having to do with body movement. The grace coming from within is even more important. A lovely collage!

  11. Lovely piece and a lovely sentiment. I found, other than the grace of a dancer, grace is hard to depict.
