Inspiration Avenue Challenge-Goddess of Winter

Beth, my good friend from Inspiration Avenue, challenged us with creating an image about the Goddess of Winter.    My vision of the goddess may seem a bit frosty but I assure you she's warm on the inside.  I created a digital shrine as her showcase.

Christmas Fantasies

Here is another of my Christmas Squares series.   I love the Victorian tone of these vignettes.

Inspiration Avenue Challenge-Victorian

Maggie challenged us with creating an image that was reminiscent of the Victorian era.  The examples she provided were well chosen.  I am particularly fond of Victorian images so this one was going to be fun.  The digital collage I created is representative of some of the fond, and not so fond memories of Christmases past.  I do hope everyone has a joyous holiday this year.

Digital Art Journal

I purchased a kit called, "I am Not a Princess" from Deviant Scrap.  It had lots of fun, colorful pieces and many are hand painted.  This kit inspired me to make some digital journal images.

Inspiration Avenue Challenge-Peace

"Said the king to the people everywhere, listen to what I say."

  "Pray for peace people everywhere."

During Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, 6,612 service people have died.  The Washington Post has created a site where you can see the faces of all of these fallen soldiers.  It's impossible to think of peace without honoring these human beings and their families for their sacrifices.

Please encourage President Obama to end the Afghanistan war as soon as possible.  We cannot spare any more lives.

Teddy and Pru Need a Home

Three and a half years ago, I rescued a pregnant stray dog from a parking lot.  Her name was Susie.  Susie had eight puppies and all of them found homes.  Teddy and Pru went to a loving home together.  Sadly, the family lost their house due to foreclosure.  They attempted to find new homes for the dogs but ended up taking them to a shelter.  Since the shelter would only allow four days for them to be placed in new homes, my husband and I acted quickly.  Teddy and Pru are safe in a foster home.

This is Teddy.  He's 3 1/2 years old.

This is Teddy's sister, Pru.  She's the same age as Teddy.

Pru weighs about 25 pounds.  She's spayed and well behaved.

Teddy weighs about 35 pounds.  He's neutered and very loving.

Teddy and Pru have been together since birth.  They love to play with each other.

Please spread the word.  These two dogs need loving homes.
