Grow Your Blog Giveaway Winner Announcement

First, I wanted to thank all of the people who visited me from the "Grow Your Blog Party."  I haven't visited all of the blogs I want to visit yet but I will definitely visit everyone who came to see me at Misplaced Mermaid.  I realized yesterday that I was late with the announcement of my giveaway winner.

I visited Random.org, typed in all of the names of visitors, and allowed it to generate a random list for me.  The first person on that list is the winner...and that person is Birgit from Germany.  Congratulations Brigit!  You are the winner of one of my digital collage sheets in my Etsy Shop.  Just visit my shop then let me know which one you would like to have.  I'll send it as a jpg to your email address.  Thank you again to everyone who visited and commented!

Artful Soul Care-The Workshop 101-Dust and Rainbows

Altered Amanda's Studios is unveiling an awesome series entitled "Artful Soul Care."  This workshop explores the “whys and hows” of personal soul support, and how it relates to improving one’s quality of life while enhancing creativity.  Prompts and projects are included to combine imagery, mixed-media and writing to create personal, visual expression in a book format.   It's broken down into three distinct workshops.   For more information click here.

I created this page with digital materials provided in Artful Soul Care 101.  I loved the bright colors and hand-drawn components and connected with the quote by Langston Hughes.   I'm excited about this process and hope to explore my soul life and enhance my creativity.

Art Journal Views-From my Window

I'm happy to report that the February 2014 Group Therapy Kits are available at DigiScrapAddicts.  That means that I can reveal my pages to all of you and that you can run over and go shopping!  Since I'm on the Creative Team for two awesome designers, I'm going to share my pages for both of them and let you know where you can buy their kits.  One cool thing is that these things are grouped into small packs so you can mix and match what you like.

Everything from these two pages (above), except the quotes, came from kits created by 2 Curly Headed Monsters.   I love her use of vintage images and her mixed media accents.  See them here.

These pages were created with the fantastic kits by Altered Amanda Studios.  She's also a master of mixed media and often includes her original drawings in her kits.  See them here.

This last page was made using a mixture of goodies from the entire Group Therapy series.  Sus Designs and Elysah's Art created some of these elements.  You'll see their designs in the same section of the store here.  Feel free to share these images on Facebook. Pinterest, or your own blog.  Please be sure to link them back here so people know where they came from.

Thank you for stopping by!  Please leave a comment if you have time.

Inspiration Avenue Challenge-Hearts and Flowers

My friend Maggie, from Inspiration Avenue, challenged all of us with the topic of
"Hearts and Flowers."
This page has it all.  There are hearts and flowers.  Sure, the roses are a little worn out.  But that's because they were given to Edna, who refused them.  What more was there to do but to give them to sweet Mary?  So that's what happened.

I made some fun pages with my "Shot Thru the Heart" Art Journal kit by 2chmd that I want to share.  It's kind of an "anti-Valentine" kit, though it's so beautiful I think you could easily make traditional Valentine love pages with it.  Right now it's on sale at Go Digital Scrapbooking.
