Maggie challenged us with creating an image that was reminiscent of the Victorian era. The examples she provided were well chosen. I am particularly fond of Victorian images so this one was going to be fun. The digital collage I created is representative of some of the fond, and not so fond memories of Christmases past. I do hope everyone has a joyous holiday this year.

Beautiful job, Lou Anne! I really like the look of victorian art--especially Santas! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a portrayal of a Victorian Christmas from the viewpoint of a child. It makes me think of Christmas when I was a child and the fantasy and magic of it all. I am wondering what the not so fond memory image is - i think it might be the top right hand corner, maybe.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collage!
I think the image does what you describe. I mostly have fond memories of Christmas as a child. It was always a beautiful, magical fantasy. As with anything, sad memories creep in. Fortunately, the happiness takes precedence.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Lou Anne! I love these old Victorian images, and I love the colors and composition of your collage!
