Fantastic Freebie Alert
There are so many generous people who share images with other digital scrapbookers and artists. Some of them give freebies and also sell their designs. One of the things that sparked my own passion for digital art was this community of generous people. For that reason, I think it's important to pass on information about these gifts. It's a way to share with others and it's my way of giving a "Thank you" to those who provide the images.
Raspberry Road Designs is one of my favorite sites and I'm a regular customer. I love the sets they create and they give awesome freebies! Today, I received a set called "Whispers of Winter." First I had to play with it and then I just had to share it! I made this still life using elements from the set. Check out the link to see some of the awesome things Raspberry Road offers. You can grab your free set, and some other goodies there too.
One more thing about Raspberry Road. Susan Darter created this set. I've had a few questions about how to use her designs and she's been extremely helpful. I really value that!

Three Muses Challenge-Animal Magic
I haven't had a chance to participate in the Three Muses Challenge lately and I must say I miss those three awesome ladies! I created a fun domestic animal image for a swap that I'm participating in and wanted to share it for this fun challenge.

Inspiration Avenue Challenge-What Blesses You?
Diane, from Inspiration Avenue, challenged us to make an image about what we feel blessed by. I feel blessed by so many different things it was difficult to focus on just one. I thought about my husband and friends, my home, flowers, trees, water, my pets, laughter, music, and freedom to live my life the way I choose. Then I went to fill up a glass with ice cubes from the ice maker and our kitten, Merlin, sat below the refrigerator and looked up at me with anticipation. I took one of the ice cubes, skidded it across the floor, and watched Merlin chase after it, bat it around for awhile, then rest for a moment with the ice cube hugged between his arms. He didn't rest long. He slid around the kitchen and dining room, smacking the ice like a hockey puck. There's nothing better than watching a kitten play.

Inspiration Avenue Challenge-Mandalas
My friend Beth, from IA, challenged us to create a mandala this week. I wanted to make mine digitally but I didn't want to simply do a coloring page. I already did that. Well, I was tempted to quickly color in one of Beth's samples with Photoshop Elements. You know, check it off the list. Done!
The problem was, I wanted to participate in the challenge, especially because it is the first one Beth has hosted. I loved her samples. I went to her blog, Mossberry Cottage, and looked for the free mandala class. But that wasn't my inspiration for today. Instead, it was Beth's new Blog Header. The following quote got me going:
"The most potent muse of all is our inner child." I could identify with that. So I let my inner child create my mandala.
I hope you'll visit IA to see the wonderful entries this week. If you have time, visit the individual blogs and leave a comment. We all love that feedback! Click Here
